A very promising area that we discovered on the slopes of the Murviel Beziers in the Languedoc vineyards nebulous.
Nestled in a valley, which can be seen off the Mediterranean, the vineyards are divided into several plots scattered, separated by a scrubland vegetation. The slope, however slight, split the ranks like stair steps. In spring, it is surprising the difference in color between the upper and lower slopes. When the buds turn green above the feet at the bottom yet nothing seems to come bud.
Although not certified organic, the area is needed rigor necessary to produce natural and expressive wines. Since 2002, the vineyard and winery have been completely redesigned. Diversity wins and the efforts of early encouraging results.
The harvest takes care of the grapes. It is collected by hand and it sorts it. This preserves the harvest problems including rot. Knowing that each variety brings its own character, each parcel is vinified separately. Low yield of 35 hl / ha, the grapes concentrate the quintessence of the fruit that we find strength in the different vintages.
The range covers the three colors. First, you will find in wines AOC Coteaux du Languedoc with a typical assemblage of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. Other shares, of wines as Vin de Pays d'Oc for greater freedom for the use of grape varieties. You will discover the "Red Coast", classic blend of Syrah and Grenache , with a small patch of old Alicante , bringing its roundness and a beautiful deep color.
A property, you will meet Madame, on her first name, Lidewij. His accent comes from Holland. For 6 years now, she realizes her dream with talent and sharing his passions for wine and France. Surrounded by her three daughters, she will receive you with ease. Remember to make an appointment by telephone before or so follow our advice, for the season from April to October, go there every Thursday at 16h. It organizes a weekly wine tasting and a presentation of the field.
