That was May 16, at Hangar 14 in Bordeaux.
We were several "wine-bloggers" invited by the CIVB to participate in this event quite surreal to have the chance to taste, premiere, no less than 200 vintages, by two owners of Grand Cru .
The average price per bottle by myself, I certainly put in the mouth for more than 2500 euros ttc! And the worst part is that almost everything I spit so you can discover up! Even Angelus 2004, when I think, to € 150 a bottle.
Certainly I was more amazed by this alignment prestigious big names of Bordeaux wines by themselves (sorry purists) and the lack of real encounters with an artisan winemaker! This is not the place!

I still was delighted to discover, following, the amplitude and the harmony of some Saint-Julien, whose castle Leoville-Barton, the finesse of a Gruaud Larose; the elegance of a castle Lagrange whom I knew previously that the fiefs, the balance of a Saint-Emilion, Clos Fourtet the freshness of Margaux Château Rauzan -Gassies and finally the exclusive and the price of Angelus , the Annunciation even an exceptional guard.
Before concluding these three hours of tasting by a string of Sauternes, I took the break, next to the modest table of Beau-Sejour Becot castle . It was remarkable that the event met with some success and that, contrary to what one might expect, there was a majority of young people, say under 35 years you see! And that gentlemen, if it is true, it remained, apparently, a certain social class.
The final sprint took place, gently, in relative sweetness, accompanied by Kathryne itself delighted to exchange a few words with Mr Alexandre de Lur Saluces, former castle Yquem , and owner of Castle Fargues .
The invitation to this special event continued, in small groups, in an adjoining room, and met Sylvie Cazes-Régimbeau, president of the Union
of Grands Crus de Bordeaux. It is difficult to see the words as we were not at all in phase. She, alone, probably a little tired from the previous day, not knowing who we were finally, I mean journalists, amateurs, proseurs wine or inquisitors, and we, blessed, several, in packs, assistant at the base of some, all more or less accustomed to not satisfy us the consensus of thought, to regret this strong footprint in the whole wood of these great wines in 2006, to see that we would indeed be difficult to acquire and wait several years before they can really appreciate, at fair time, these fantastic wines. And Mrs. Cazes us say that indeed, "a customer facing some aging and some loss of contact with the younger generation", that kind of weekend with everything in it (tasting, dinner, DJ night, inviting wine-blogger) aims to give a new image of the great wines of Bordeaux and go again accessible. Finally, she reminded us that the aging in barrels of new wood "brings the complexity, finesse and additional elements (?) Wine but must, of course, be some years before that Bordeaux does is good ".
And during that time ... there is one that affects the eyes ... bottles of Smith Haut Lafitte

Bravo for not falling into the trap that I was tense there are more than 3 years and in which I jumped right to see me happily, a few years later, a baby that taste wine, outside the single vice, did not allow to measure with certainty the quality of the wine once it is bottled and on the circuit. We will say that I'm not a pro ... it's true. Rest of the show premieres is a sham Friques for large buyers, investors, speculators and label collectors. Nothing to do with the love of wine. Continue to be so critical!
Do not fall into the trap, stay casual, does seem to have anything (Black Desire is the Bordeaux AC).
