On the occasion of the Biodiversity & Agricultures: Today's challenges and tomorrow's research for sustainable agriculture, the November 5, 2008, held in Montpellier, Michel Barnier , Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries , the establishment of IPBES , a platform-scientific intergovernmental policy on biodiversity and ecosystem services, which take the form of an IPCC for biodiversity enabling Member States to draw up findings shared in these areas, prerequisites for any joint action.

It seems indeed necessary at European level, to unite the efforts of Member States to organize a joint work, including doing research on agriculture and biodiversity protection a top priority of European science term. Agriculture must feed the world safely and diverse, we must never forget the respect and enhancement of biodiversity today increasingly threatened.
The paradox of course is that it is roughly speaking, the research that kills biodiversity in agriculture. Pesticides, fertilizers, GMOs, selected yeasts, enzymages , are creations of the research. We'll have a sacred power to reverse this trend beyond scientific research .
Certainly, we, citizens and consommActeurs , are most influential for this change. Whoever consumes is one who places an order! Do not forget it.
The future belongs to those who drink Bio
