The messages are sometimes much better when pressed. This is what I can do about this epidemiological study published by the National Cancer Institute on the inventory of scientific knowledge on the relationship between alcohol consumption and risk of cancer . We are witnessing such a media buzz that goes to the absurdity of saying that Ms. Bachelot with the law hospital, patients, health territories ( HSPT ) will prohibit drinking of wine in France, we have decided to voice the Information provided by the association The four truths about the wine .

The association has made a full report of the study on which the document was sent to doctors under the National Health and Nutrition Program (PNNS) by INCA (National Institute of fight against cancer) and the Ministry of Health "Nutrition Prevention of cancers of scientific recommendations. "
In summary, this epidemiological study based on 12 reports or documents with the following conclusions:
2 documents indicate that moderate consumption of wine can have positive effects on health (8 th and 12 th)
2 documents indicate that moderate consumption of wine is possible (the 4 th and 6 th)
3 documents indicate that the wine is an alcoholic beverage most consumed in France without being explicitly negative with the wine (2 nd, 3 rd and 11 th)
2 documents speak of alcohol in general without reference to the wine (the 1st and 9th),
A document indicates that it is from 1 drink per day for women and two for men there is a risk but this assertion is made without giving the references of the studies that led to this conclusion (10 th)
Two documents (the 5 th and 7 th) that are somewhat surprising with an incredible forgetfulness of major studies on cancer mortality (the study of Serge Renaud showed a protective effect of wine against cancer) for a report from a global fund cancer, it is very disturbing. In these biased reports (one being a translation of the other) one finds with the recommendations of one glass for women and 2 drinks for men per day.
Only one is openly hostile to the wine which is considered the other alcohols (the 7th), which is a manifest error, see the next 2 paragraphs.
In stark contrast to these assertions, the association "The four truths about the wine "has recorded 13 serious scientific studies on the benefits of moderate consumption of wine .
Here is a link to this list:
http://web.mac.com/quatreverites/Blog_des_4_Verites_sur_le_Vin/Liste_etudes.html
And here's a link to a page on the same blog , where six serious studies say that moderate consumption of wine up the wine well above the other alcohols in terms of impact on health, it would be a scientific error to do otherwise :
After studying the various documents, we can say that health policy is built on a balance of people who eat moderately, and the balance is overwhelmingly in favor of a moderate consumption of wine even with respect to abstainers, except those who have an addiction problem, of course.
Therefore we can say that this document PPNS sent to doctors has freed himself from any scientific ethics and moral by stating opinions not supported by solid scientific studies published by internationally recognized journals.
The leaders of this publication should be accountable for disseminating unconfirmed.

I agree with your position. The report comes at a time INCA "politically attractive", ie when measures must be voted ...
The Mediterranean diet includes the consumption of one to two glasses of wine per day for meals. But the virtues of the Mediterranean diet are well proven. The wine has a role in all this? Maybe? A positive or negative? I do not know. All I know is that with his glass of wine, the Mediterranean diet protects against cardiovascular disease and cancer and it is not possible to attribute this protection to a particular ingredient in particular. That's all that counts!
It is easy to speculate on what would be the Mediterranean diet without wine.
Let's focus perhaps more on the scientific evidence.
I invite you to read two articles on the subject:
